A new way to experience an overlooked piece of American culture.

Full-stack app with OSM API and hand-curated data that allows users to see interesting amenities in gas stations around them using Nominatim. Marathon Mode allows users to run a nearest neighbor algorithm with a greedy heuristic and novelty filter that runs on OSRM.

Lightning to Thunder Tracker

Visualize lightning strikes using the speed of sound.

Using geolocation and Open-Meteo, your local temperature is gathered and applied to a speed-of-sound equation. Press the button upon seeing a flash of lightning and release once you hear thunder. Easily visualize your own lightning strike history. Deliberate design choices to avoid appearing as a safety app.
